A small and medium-sized enterprise may prepare a plan concerning business continuity enhancement (hereinafter in this Article and the following Article referred to as a "business continuity enhancement plan"), submit it to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry as specified by Order of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and receive certification to the effect that the business continuity enhancement plan is appropriate.
A business continuity enhancement plan must state the following matters:

the response procedures in the case where a natural disaster, etc. occurs;
自然災害等が発生した場合における対応手順
the types of business continuity enhancement equipment, etc. (meaning equipment, instruments or devices specified by Order of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as contributing particularly to business continuity enhancement; the same applies in Article 58, paragraph (2), item (iii), (b));
事業継続力強化設備等（事業継続力強化に特に資する設備、機器又は装置として経済産業省令で定めるものをいう。第五十八条第二項第三号ロにおいて同じ。）の種類
matters concerning securing means of raising funds for continuing business activities, such as the conclusion of a non-life insurance contract;
損害保険契約の締結その他の事業活動を継続するための資金の調達手段の確保に関する事項
if there are local governments, consigning business operators, financial institutions related to the government, commercial associations, chambers of commerce, federations of small business associations, or other persons that cooperate in the implementation of business continuity enhancement (hereinafter in this item referred to as "cooperating parties"), the name and address of the cooperating party and the name of its representative, and the content of its cooperation;
matters concerning efforts to ensure the effectiveness of business continuity enhancement, such as the development of the necessary organization and the conduct of training;
必要な組織の整備、訓練の実施その他の事業継続力強化の実効性を確保するための取組に関する事項
matters concerning measures and efforts contributing to business continuity enhancement, in addition to those set out in (a) through (e);
イからホまでに掲げるもののほか、事業継続力強化に資する対策及び取組に関する事項
other matters specified by Order of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry;
その他経済産業省令で定める事項
the period for implementing business continuity enhancement; and
事業継続力強化の実施期間
the amount of funds necessary for implementing business continuity enhancement and the method of raising them.
事業継続力強化を実施するために必要な資金の額及びその調達方法
When an application for the certification referred to in paragraph (1) is filed, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry is to grant the certification if the Minister finds that the business continuity enhancement plan pertaining to the application conforms to all of the following items:
the matters set out in items (i) through (iii) of the preceding paragraph are appropriate in light of the basic policy; and
前項第一号から第三号までに掲げる事項が基本方針に照らして適切なものであること。
the matters set out in items (ii) through (iv) of the preceding paragraph are appropriate for reliably carrying out business continuity enhancement.
前項第二号から第四号までに掲げる事項が事業継続力強化を確実に遂行するために適切なものであること。
定義第二条第一項・法令全体に適用
次の各号のいずれかに該当する者

事業者が、自然災害又は通信その他の事業活動の基盤における重大な障害（以下「自然災害等」という。）の発生が事業活動に与える影響を踏まえて、自然災害等が発生した場合における対応手順の決定、当該影響の軽減に資する設備の導入、損害保険契約の締結、関係者との連携及び協力その他の事業活動に対する当該影響の軽減及び事業活動の継続に資する対策を事前に講ずるとともに、必要な組織の整備、訓練の実施その他の当該対策の実効性を確保するための取組を行うことにより、自然災害等が発生した場合における事業活動を継続する能力の強化を図ること
