第八条（下請負人をその請負に係る事業の事業主とする認可申請）
Article 8Application for Approval to Make a Subcontractor the Employer of the Business Pertaining to Its Contract
A master contractor and subcontractor seeking to obtain the approval under Article 8, paragraph (2) of the Act must, within 10 days counting from the day following the day on which the insurance relation was established, submit to the Director of the Prefectural Labor Bureau Concerned a written application stating the following matters; provided, however, that if, due to unavoidable reasons, they were unable to submit the written application within this time limit, they may submit it even after the time limit.
法第八条第二項の認可を受けようとする元請負人及び下請負人は、保険関係が成立した日の翌日から起算して十日以内に、次に掲げる事項を記載した申請書を所轄都道府県労働局長に提出しなければならない。ただし、やむを得ない理由により、この期限内に当該申請書の提出をすることができなかつたときは、期限後であつても提出することができる。

事業主が保険年度ごと（有期事業では保険関係が成立したとき）に、賃金総額の見込額などをもとに申告書を添えて前もって納める労働保険料のことです。申告がないときや誤りがあるときに政府が決定したものも含みます（労働保険の保険料の徴収等に関する法律第十五条）。
