①A person who holds an Individual Number Card bearing a license information record must, on coming to fall under any of the following items, promptly present the Individual Number Card bearing a license information record to the public safety commission with jurisdiction over the person's domicile and receive the deletion of the license information record; provided, however, that this does not apply if the person has returned the Individual Number Card bearing a license information record to the head of a municipality (or, in the case of a specified residence card, etc. prescribed in Article 18-5, paragraph (1) of that Act, to the Commissioner of the Immigration Services Agency) pursuant to the provisions of the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures or other laws and regulations.

②In the case where a person whose license has been revoked pursuant to Article 104-2-2, paragraph (1), (2), or (4), Article 104-2-4, paragraph (1), (2), or (4), or Article 104-4, paragraph (2) still holds a license of another type, if the person presents the Individual Number Card bearing a license information record to the public safety commission with jurisdiction over the person's domicile pursuant to the preceding paragraph, that public safety commission is to, notwithstanding that paragraph, carry out the rewriting of the license information record recorded on that Individual Number Card bearing a license information record to the license information record pertaining to the license of that other type.
