Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of June 1, 2001.
この法律は、平成十三年六月一日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures Accompanying the Partial Amendment of the Door-to-Door Sales Act
第二条（訪問販売等に関する法律の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
The provisions of Article 37, paragraph (2) and Article 40 of the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions as amended by Article 1 (hereinafter referred to as the "Act on Specified Commercial Transactions") apply to a contract for multilevel marketing transactions prescribed in Article 33, paragraph (1) of the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions, concluded after this Act comes into effect by a person who conducts the multilevel marketing undertaking prescribed in that paragraph; and with regard to a contract for multilevel marketing transactions prescribed in Article 11, paragraph (1) of the Door-to-Door Sales Act before the amendment by Article 1, concluded before this Act comes into effect by a person who conducts the multilevel marketing undertaking prescribed in that paragraph, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
第一条の規定による改正後の特定商取引に関する法律（以下「特定商取引法」という。）第三十七条第二項及び第四十条の規定は、この法律の施行後に特定商取引法第三十三条第一項に規定する連鎖販売業を行う者が締結した同項に規定する連鎖販売取引についての契約について適用し、この法律の施行前に第一条の規定による改正前の訪問販売等に関する法律第十一条第一項に規定する連鎖販売業を行う者が締結した同項に規定する連鎖販売取引についての契約については、なお従前の例による。
The provisions of Article 55, paragraph (2) and Article 58 of the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions do not apply to a contract for a transaction equivalent to the business opportunity sales transactions prescribed in Article 51, paragraph (1) of the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions, concluded before this Act comes into effect by a person who conducts a business equivalent to the business opportunity sales prescribed in that paragraph.
特定商取引法第五十五条第二項及び第五十八条の規定は、この法律の施行前に特定商取引法第五十一条第一項に規定する業務提供誘引販売業に相当する事業を行う者が締結した同項に規定する業務提供誘引販売取引に相当する取引についての契約については、適用しない。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 4Transitional Measures Concerning Penal Provisions
第四条（罰則に関する経過措置）
With regard to the application of penal provisions to acts committed before this Act comes into effect and to acts committed after this Act comes into effect in the cases where the provisions then in force continue to govern pursuant to the provisions of Article 2, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行前にした行為及び附則第二条第一項の規定により従前の例によることとされる場合におけるこの法律の施行後にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 5Delegation to Cabinet Order
第五条（政令への委任）
Beyond what is provided for in the preceding three Articles, transitional measures necessary for the enforcement of this Act are specified by Cabinet Order.
前三条に定めるもののほか、この法律の施行に関して必要な経過措置は、政令で定める。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 6Review
第六条（検討）
The government is to review the provisions of the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions in response to changes in circumstances relating to commercial transactions connected with the daily lives of citizens and other economic and social conditions, and is to take the necessary measures based on the results of that review.
政府は、国民の日常生活に係る商取引に関する事情その他の経済的社会的環境の変化に応じ、特定商取引法の規定に検討を加え、その結果に基づいて必要な措置を講ずるものとする。
