Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on April 1, 2007; provided, however, that the provisions amending Articles 4, 68-2 and 69-2, and the provisions of Articles 3, 6, 7 (limited to the provision amending Article 8, paragraph (1), item (i) of the Certified Public Tax Accountant Act (Act No. 237 of 1951) by replacing "Article 68-2, paragraph (3), item (ii)" with "Article 68-2, paragraph (4), item (ii)"), 9 and 10 of the Supplementary Provisions come into effect on October 1, 2005.
この法律は、平成十九年四月一日から施行する。ただし、第四条、第六十八条の二及び第六十九条の二の改正規定並びに附則第三条、第六条、第七条（税理士法（昭和二十六年法律第二百三十七号）第八条第一項第一号中「第六十八条の二第三項第二号」を「第六十八条の二第四項第二号」に改める改正規定に限る。）、第九条及び第十条の規定は、平成十七年十月一日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures Concerning Tenure as an Assistant Professor
第二条（助教授の在職に関する経過措置）
For the purpose of applying the provisions of the following Acts, tenure as an assistant professor before this Act comes into effect is deemed to be tenure as an associate professor:
次に掲げる法律の規定の適用については、この法律の施行前における助教授としての在職は、准教授としての在職とみなす。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 3Transitional Measures Concerning the Associate Degree
第三条（短期大学士の学位に関する経過措置）
The title of Associate under the provisions of Article 69-2, paragraph (7) of the School Education Act prior to the amendment by this Act is deemed to be an associate degree under the provisions of Article 68-2, paragraph (3) of the School Education Act as amended by this Act.
この法律による改正前の学校教育法第六十九条の二第七項の規定による準学士の称号は、この法律による改正後の学校教育法第六十八条の二第三項の規定による短期大学士の学位とみなす。
