①With regard to the daily amount of the job applicant benefits for day workers pertaining to days before September 1, 1994 and the daily amounts of wages pertaining to the classification of the amounts of stamp premiums prescribed in Article 22, paragraph (1) of the Act on the Collection, etc. of Insurance Premiums of Labor Insurance (referred to as "class-dividing daily amounts" in paragraphs (3) and (4)), the provisions then in force continue to govern.

②With regard to the application of the provisions of Article 48 of the new Employment Insurance Act concerning the job applicant benefits for day workers paid during September 1994, stamp premiums paid for days during July of that year pursuant to the provisions of the Act on the Collection, etc. of Insurance Premiums of Labor Insurance prior to the amendment by Article 2 are deemed to be stamp premiums paid pursuant to the provisions of the Act on the Collection, etc. of Insurance Premiums of Labor Insurance as amended by that Article; of the first class stamp premiums prescribed in Article 48, item (i) of the former Employment Insurance Act (hereinafter referred to as "old first class stamp premiums"), those for the number of days paid equivalent to the number of days paid (or, if that number of days paid exceeds the number of days paid of the old first class stamp premiums paid for days during July of that year, the number of days paid of those old first class stamp premiums) of the first class stamp premiums prescribed in Article 48, item (i) of the new Employment Insurance Act (hereinafter referred to as "new first class stamp premiums") paid for days during August of that year are deemed to be new first class stamp premiums for that number of days paid, and those for the remaining number of days paid are deemed to be the second class stamp premiums prescribed in Article 48, item (ii), (a) of the new Employment Insurance Act for that number of days paid; and the second class stamp premiums prescribed in Article 48, item (ii), (a) of the former Employment Insurance Act, the third class stamp premiums prescribed in Article 48, item (ii), (b) of the former Employment Insurance Act and the fourth class stamp premiums prescribed in Article 48, item (ii), (c) of the former Employment Insurance Act are deemed to be the third class stamp premiums prescribed in Article 48, item (ii), (b) of the new Employment Insurance Act.

③For the time being, in the case where the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare changes the daily amounts, etc. of the job applicant benefits for day workers pursuant to the provisions of Article 49, paragraph (1) of the new Employment Insurance Act because the average regular earnings have exceeded 120 percent of the average regular earnings for September 1994 (where the daily amounts, etc. of the job applicant benefits for day workers have been changed pursuant to the provisions of that paragraph, the average regular earnings which were the basis of the most recent revision; the same applies in the following paragraph), the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare is to, notwithstanding the provisions of that paragraph, change the daily amount of the job applicant benefits for day workers of 4,100 yen to 6,200 yen and the class-dividing daily amount of 8,200 yen to 11,300 yen, respectively.

④For the time being, in the case where the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare changes the daily amounts, etc. of the job applicant benefits for day workers pursuant to the provisions of Article 49, paragraph (1) of the new Employment Insurance Act because the average regular earnings have fallen below 83 percent of the average regular earnings for September 1994, the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare is to, notwithstanding the provisions of that paragraph, change the daily amount of the job applicant benefits for day workers of 6,200 yen to 4,100 yen and the class-dividing daily amount of 11,300 yen to 8,200 yen, respectively.
