Supplementary Provisions

This Cabinet Order comes into effect on October 1, 1994; provided, however, that the provisions of Article 1 amending Article 2, item (v) of the Order for Enforcement of the Health Insurance Act and adding one Article before Article 81 of that Order, the provisions of Article 4 amending Article 1, item (vi) of the Order for Enforcement of the Mariners Insurance Act and adding one Article after Article 6-3 of that Order, the provisions of Article 6 amending Article 29-5, paragraph (1) of the Order for Enforcement of the National Health Insurance Act (limited to the portion replacing "health facilities" with "health projects"), the provisions of Article 7 amending Article 4, paragraph (2) of the Cabinet Order concerning the Calculation, etc. of the National Treasury Share for National Health Insurance and Contributions by Insurers of Employees' Insurance, etc. (limited to the portion replacing "health facilities" with "health projects"), the provisions of Article 11, the provisions of Article 12, the provisions of Article 38 amending Article 5, item (xxix), (h) of the Order for the Enforcement of the Corporation Tax Act, the provisions of Article 39 (excluding the portion replacing "Article 31-3, paragraph (1)" with "Article 31-6, paragraph (1)"), the provisions of Article 41, and the provisions of Article 48 amending Article 86, item (viii) of the Organization Order of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and amending Article 127 of that Order, come into effect on April 1, 1995.

With regard to the payment of high-cost medical expenses under the provisions of the Health Insurance Act (Act No. 70 of 1922) for medical care received before the day of enforcement of this Cabinet Order (hereinafter referred to as the "Effective Date"), the provisions then in force continue to govern.
