第百五条の二(運転経歴証明書及び運転経歴情報の記録)
A person whose license has been revoked pursuant to Article 104-4, paragraph (2) (excluding a person who received a license pursuant to paragraph (3) of that Article) and a person whose license has lost its effect pursuant to the preceding Article (excluding a person who, on the day preceding the day on which the license lost its effect, falls under the criteria for revocation of a license under Article 90, paragraph (5), and any other person specified by Cabinet Order) may apply to the public safety commission with jurisdiction over the person's domicile for the issuance of a driving record certificate (meaning a document that shows the person's record of driving a motor vehicle or motorized bicycle during the five years before the day on which the person received the revocation or the day on which the license lost its effect, by a category corresponding to the categories of driver with an exemplary record, driver with a satisfactory record, or driver with a violation or a short record prescribed in the upper column of the table in Article 95-6, paragraph (1) (referred to as the "driving record category" in paragraph (3)); the same applies in this Article and the following Article).
A public safety commission to which a person has applied under the preceding paragraph must issue a driving record certificate pursuant to Cabinet Order. This being the case, driving record certificates must not be confusingly similar in appearance to licenses.
A person prescribed in paragraph (1) may apply to the public safety commission with jurisdiction over the person's domicile for the recording of driving record information (meaning information that shows, by driving record category, the person's record of driving a motor vehicle or motorized bicycle during the five years before the day on which the person received the revocation of a license under Article 104-4, paragraph (2) or the day on which the license lost its effect pursuant to the preceding Article; the same applies in this Article and the following Article) in the segmented part of the person's Individual Number Card.
A public safety commission that has received an application under the preceding paragraph is to record the driving record information in the segmented part of the person's Individual Number Card by Electronic or Magnetic Means, pursuant to Cabinet Order.
Beyond what is prescribed in the preceding paragraphs, Cabinet Office Order provides for the necessary particulars regarding driving record certificates and the recording of driving record information.
