    The clauses in a consumer contract that grant a trader the cancellation right solely because the consumer has received a decision for the commencement of guardianship, curatorship,assistance or assistancea decision for a disposition appointing a specified assistant are void (excluding those in which the consumer is obliged to provide goods, rights, services, or any other things for the purpose of the consumer contract).

    事業者に対し、消費者が後見開始、保佐開始又は補助開始補助開始の審判又は特定補助人を付する処分の審判を受けたことのみを理由とする解除権を付与する消費者契約（消費者が事業者に対し物品、権利、役務その他の消費者契約の目的となるものを提供することとされているものを除く。）の条項は、無効とする。

    With regard to an adult ward, a guardian of an adult, and a supervisor of a guardian of an adult prescribed in Article 2, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Civil Code, etc. Amendment Act with respect to whom the provisions then in force continue to govern pursuant to the provisions of that paragraph, and a person under curatorship, a curator, and a supervisor of a curator prescribed in Article 3, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Civil Code, etc. Amendment Act with respect to whom the provisions then in force continue to govern pursuant to the provisions of that paragraph, the provisions then in force continue to govern, notwithstanding the provisions of the respective Acts as amended by this Act (including where those provisions are applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to other Acts).

    民法等改正法附則第二条第一項の規定によりなお従前の例によることとされる同項に規定する成年被後見人、成年後見人及び成年後見監督人並びに民法等改正法附則第三条第一項の規定によりなお従前の例によることとされる同項に規定する被保佐人、保佐人及び保佐監督人については、この法律による改正後のそれぞれの法律の規定（これらの規定を他の法律において準用する場合を含む。）にかかわらず、なお従前の例による。

    With regard to the clauses of a consumer contract entered into before this Act comes into effect, the provisions then in force continue to govern, notwithstanding the provisions of Article 8-3 of the Consumer Contract Act as amended by the provisions of Article 29.

    この法律の施行前に締結された消費者契約の条項については、第二十九条の規定による改正後の消費者契約法第八条の三の規定にかかわらず、なお従前の例による。

Supplementary Provisions, Article 4 · Transitional Measures Concerning Penal Provisions附則第四条（罰則に関する経過措置）

    With regard to the application of penal provisions to acts committed before this Act comes into effect and to acts committed after this Act comes into effect in the cases where the provisions then in force continue to govern pursuant to the provisions of Article 2, paragraph (1) or Article 3, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Civil Code, etc. Amendment Act, the provisions then in force continue to govern.

    この法律の施行前にした行為及び民法等改正法附則第二条第一項又は第三条第一項の規定によりなお従前の例によることとされる場合におけるこの法律の施行後にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
