Supplementary Provisions, Article 6Transitional Measures Concerning Payment of Child Allowance and Revision of Its Amount
第六条（児童手当の支給及び額の改定に関する経過措置）
If a person set forth in the following items files, during the period from the Effective Date to September 30, 2012, a claim for certification under Article 7, paragraph (1) of the Child Allowance Act as amended by the provisions of Article 1 (including the case where it is applied by replacing terms pursuant to Article 17, paragraph (1) of that Act) or paragraph (2) of that Article, payment of child allowance to that person is to start from the month specified respectively in those items, notwithstanding Article 8, paragraph (2) of that Act.
次の各号に掲げる者が、施行日から平成二十四年九月三十日までの間に第一条の規定による改正後の児童手当法第七条第一項（同法第十七条第一項において読み替えて適用する場合を含む。）又は第二項の規定による認定の請求をしたときは、その者に対する児童手当の支給は、同法第八条第二項の規定にかかわらず、それぞれ当該各号に定める月から始める。
A father or mother who, as of the Effective Date, falls under the persons set forth in Article 4, paragraph (1), item (i) of the Child Allowance Act as amended by the provisions of Article 1 by reason of the application of paragraph (4) of that Article: the month in which the Effective Date falls;
施行日において第一条の規定による改正後の児童手当法第四条第四項の規定が適用されることにより同条第一項第一号に掲げる者に該当している父又は母 施行日の属する月
A person who, as of the Effective Date, falls under the persons set forth in item (i), (ii), or (iv) of that paragraph by reason of raising a child before completion of lower secondary school (meaning a child before completion of lower secondary school prescribed in Article 22-3 of that Act; the same applies hereinafter in this Article, the following Article, and Articles 13 and 14 of the Supplementary Provisions) as a guardian of a minor, a parent's designee (meaning a parent's designee prescribed in Article 4, paragraph (1), item (ii) of the Child Allowance Act as amended by the provisions of Article 1; the same applies hereinafter), or a person set forth in item (iv) of that paragraph: the month in which the Effective Date falls;
A father or mother who has come to satisfy the requirements for payment of child allowance during the period from the Effective Date to May 31, 2012, and who, on the day on which the father or mother came to satisfy those requirements for payment, has come to fall under the persons set forth in Article 4, paragraph (1), item (i) of the Child Allowance Act as amended by the provisions of Article 1 by reason of the application of paragraph (4) of that Article: the month following the month in which the day on which the person came to fall under the persons set forth in that item falls;
施行日から平成二十四年五月三十一日までの間に児童手当の支給要件に該当するに至った者であって、当該支給要件に該当するに至った日において、第一条の規定による改正後の児童手当法第四条第四項の規定が適用されることにより同条第一項第一号に掲げる者に該当するに至った父又は母 その者が同号に掲げる者に該当するに至った日の属する月の翌月
A person who has come to satisfy the requirements for payment of child allowance during the period from the Effective Date to May 31, 2012, and who, on the day on which the person came to satisfy those requirements for payment, has come to fall under the persons set forth in item (i), (ii), or (iv) of Article 4, paragraph (1) of the Child Allowance Act as amended by the provisions of Article 1 by reason of coming to raise a child before completion of lower secondary school as a guardian of a minor, a parent's designee, or a person set forth in item (iv) of that paragraph: the month following the month in which the day on which the person came to fall under the persons set forth in item (i), (ii), or (iv) of that paragraph falls.
