Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding one year and six months from the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect as of the respective dates specified in those items.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して一年六月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、それぞれ当該各号に定める日から施行する。
the provisions of Article 1 (limited to the provision amending Article 292-2 of the Code of Criminal Procedure), the following Article, and Article 6 of the Supplementary Provisions (limited to the provision amending Article 58 of the Act on Criminal Trials with the Participation of Saiban-in (Act No. 63 of 2004)): the day on which 20 days have elapsed from the date of promulgation;
第一条（刑事訴訟法第二百九十二条の二の改正規定に限る。）並びに次条及び附則第六条（裁判員の参加する刑事裁判に関する法律（平成十六年法律第六十三号）第五十八条の改正規定に限る。）の規定 公布の日から起算して二十日を経過した日
the provisions of Article 1 (limited to the provision adding one Article after Article 290 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the provision adding one paragraph after Article 291, paragraph (1) of that Act, the provisions amending Articles 291-2 and 295 of that Act, the provision adding one Article after Article 299-2 of that Act, and the provisions amending Articles 305, 316-23, 321-2, paragraph (2) and 350-8 of that Act) and Article 3: the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding six months from the date of promulgation.
