技能実習生の旅券（ぎのうじっしゅうせいのりょけん）

In Article 48, paragraph (1) and Article 111, item (v), a technical intern trainee's passport as defined in Article 2, item (v) of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act: a passport, refugee travel document or other document in place of a passport issued by the Japanese government, a foreign government Japan recognizes or a competent international organization, or an equivalent document from the competent authority of a region that a Cabinet Order (政令) designates.

In Article 19, paragraph (3), leave taken by employees (職員): childcare leave (育児休業) under Article 3, paragraph (1) of the Act on Childcare Leave, etc. of Diet Officers (Act No. 108 of 1991), Article 3, paragraph (1) of the Act on Childcare Leave, etc. of National Public Officers (Act No. 109 of 1991) (including as applied under Article 27, paragraph (1) of that Act and under the Act on Temporary Measures concerning Court Officials (Act No. 299 of 1951)) or Article 2, paragraph (1) of the Act on Childcare Leave, etc. of Local Public Officers (Act No. 110 of 1991), childcare leave as defined in Article 2, paragraph (1) of the Act on Childcare Leave for Judges (Act No. 111 of 1991), and other leave that a Cabinet Office Order (内閣府令) sets as equivalent to these.

労働者の育児休業等（ろうどうしゃのいくじきゅうぎょうとう）

In Article 12, paragraph (3), leave taken by a general employer's (一般事業主) workers: childcare leave (育児休業) as defined in Article 2, item (i) of the Act on Childcare Leave, Caregiver Leave, and Other Measures for the Welfare of Workers Caring for Children or Other Family Members (Act No. 76 of 1991), leave under measures equivalent to the childcare leave system under Article 23, paragraph (2) of that Act, leave under measures taken in line with the childcare leave system under Article 24, paragraph (1), item (ii) of that Act, and other leave that a Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Order (厚生労働省令) sets as equivalent to these.

被合併法人の株主等（ひがっぺいほうじんのかぶぬしとう）

In Article 68-2-2, the shareholders, etc. (株主等) of a merged corporation (被合併法人) as Article 2, item (xiv) of the Corporation Tax Act defines them: shareholders, members of a general partnership, limited partnership or limited liability company, and other investors in a corporation.

改正法（かいせいほう）

Short name, used in this Ministerial Order (省令) from Article 11 on, for the 2009 Act (Act No. 79 of 2009) amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan, which came into effect on 9 July 2012; this Ministerial Order was made for that Act's coming into effect.

Any of the instruments listed in Article 22 on which judicial enforcement (強制執行) is based — such as a final and binding judgment, a judgment or demand for payment (支払督促) with a declaration of provisional enforcement, a notarial instrument authorizing enforcement (執行証書), a foreign court judgment or arbitral award whose enforcement judgment or order has become final, and anything else with the same effect as a final and binding judgment.

金融商品取引契約（きんゆうしょうひんとりひきけいやく）

A contract under which a financial instruments business operator, etc. (金融商品取引業者等) carries out financial instruments transactions (金融商品取引行為) — the acts listed in the items of Article 2, paragraph (8) — with a customer as the other party or on the customer's behalf.

違反行為（いはんこうい）

In Article 174-2, a series of purchases and sales of securities, etc. (有価証券売買等), or applications for or entrustments of them, in breach of Article 159, paragraph (2), item (i).

前払式割賦販売（まえばらいしきかっぷはんばい）

An installment sale (割賦販売) under Article 2, paragraph (1), item (i) in which the seller receives all or part of the price of designated goods (指定商品) in two or more payments before delivering them — a business that needs a license from the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.

個人情報保護法（こじんじょうほうほごほう）

Short name for the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003).
