改正法
Short name, used in this Ministerial Order (省令) from Article 11 on, for the 2009 Act (Act No. 79 of 2009) amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan, which came into effect on 9 July 2012; this Ministerial Order was made for that Act's coming into effect.
旅券
A passport, refugee travel document or other document in place of a passport (including a travel certificate from a Japanese consular officer) issued by the Japanese government, a foreign government Japan recognizes or a competent international organization, or an equivalent document from a competent authority of a region designated by Cabinet Order.

A special permanent resident: a person who lost Japanese nationality under the Treaty of Peace with Japan, or a descendant of such a person, who may live permanently in Japan under the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan (特例法).

特例法

A foreign national staying in Japan with a status of residence (在留資格) and registered under the former Alien Registration Act (旧外国人登録法), whose period of stay ends on or after the day the 2009 amending law (Act No. 79 of 2009) came into effect, and who, unless excluded, could apply for a residence card (在留カード) before that day.
改正法附則第十三条第一項に規定する予定中長期在留者
A certificate of status of residence under Article 20, paragraph (4) of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act: a certificate stating a new status of residence (在留資格) and period of stay, issued when a change of status of residence is permitted to a foreign national who is not to be a mid- to long-term resident (中長期在留者) and holds no passport, or the new status and period entered on one already issued.
