Type	Specifications
Type 1 handcuffs	They are to be handcuffs consisting of two metal rings connected by a chain, each of which can be opened and closed, is held in place by a ratchet and can be locked. Their shape is as shown in the Appended Figure.
Type 2 handcuffs	They are to be handcuffs consisting of a trapezoidal connecting plate made of metal or of a material with a strength equal to or greater than that of metal, to whose left and right sides are joined rings that can be tightened and loosened by a locking device in order to secure the wrists, the whole being covered with leather and chemical fiber, the connecting plate being not less than 15 millimeters and not more than 160 millimeters long on its upper side and not less than 80 millimeters and not more than 210 millimeters long on its lower side, and the wristbands being approximately 80 millimeters wide. Their shape is as shown in the Appended Figure.
Type 3 handcuffs	They are to be a rope made of chemical fiber, approximately not less than 3 millimeters and not more than 15 millimeters wide, not less than 1 millimeter and not more than 10 millimeters thick and not more than 1 meter 50 centimeters long, provided with a non-metal fastener that fixes the rope in a loop. Their shape is as shown in the Appended Figure.
Type 1 arresting rope	It is to be a rope made of hemp or chemical fiber, approximately not less than 3 millimeters and not more than 15 millimeters in diameter and not more than 6 meters long.
Type 2 arresting rope	The same as a Type 1 arresting rope; provided, however, that it is to have a metal wire passed through the core of the rope and an openable metal fitting not more than 10 centimeters long provided at one end of the rope.

種類	制式
第一種手錠	鎖で連結された金属製の二つの輪のそれぞれが開閉でき、かつ、歯止めで止まり、鍵のかかるものとする。形状は、別図のとおり。
第二種手錠	金属又はこれと同等以上の強度を有する材質の台形状の連結板の左右に、手首を固定するため、施錠装置で伸縮できる輪を結合したもので、かつ、全体を皮革及び化学繊維で被覆し、連結板の長さは、上辺は十五ミリメートル以上百六十ミリメートル以下、下辺は八十ミリメートル以上二百十ミリメートル以下で、腕輪の幅はおおむね八十ミリメートルのものとする。形状は、別図のとおり。
第三種手錠	おおむね幅三ミリメートル以上十五ミリメートル以下、厚さ一ミリメートル以上十ミリメートル以下で、長さ一メートル五十センチメートル以下の化学繊維製の縄を輪状に固定する非金属の留め具を設けたものとする。形状は、別図のとおり。
第一種捕縄	おおむね直径三ミリメートル以上十五ミリメートル以下で長さ六メートル以下の麻又は化学繊維製の縄とする。
第二種捕縄	第一種捕縄に同じ。ただし、縄の中芯に金属製ワイヤーを通し、縄の一端に長さ十センチメートル以下の開閉式金具を設けたものとする。
