Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect on the dates specified in those items:
この法律は、公布の日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。
the provisions amending the table of contents of the Employment Insurance Act (limited to the part amending Section 5), the provisions amending Article 1 and Article 10, paragraph (1) of that Act, the provisions changing paragraph (5) of that Article to paragraph (6) of that Article, the provisions adding one paragraph after paragraph (4) of that Article, the provisions amending Article 57, paragraph (2) of that Act, the provisions adding one Section after Section 5 of Chapter III of that Act, and the provisions amending Article 76, paragraph (1), Article 77, Article 79, paragraph (1) and Article 85 of that Act, in Article 1; and the provisions amending Article 1, paragraph (1) and Article 33-2, paragraph (1) of the Mariners Insurance Act, the provisions adding one paragraph after paragraph (2) of that Article, the provisions adding one Article after Article 33-16-3 of that Act, and the provisions adding three paragraphs after Article 55, paragraph (2) of that Act, in Article 2: December 1, 1998;
第一条中雇用保険法の目次の改正規定（第五節を改める部分に限る。）、同法第一条及び第十条第一項の改正規定、同条第五項を同条第六項とする改正規定、同条第四項の次に一項を加える改正規定、同法第五十七条第二項の改正規定、同法第三章第五節の次に一節を加える改正規定並びに同法第七十六条第一項、第七十七条、第七十九条第一項及び第八十五条の改正規定並びに第二条中船員保険法第一条第一項及び第三十三条ノ二第一項の改正規定、同条第二項の次に一項を加える改正規定、同法第三十三条ノ十六ノ三の次に一条を加える改正規定並びに同法第五十五条第二項の次に三項を加える改正規定 平成十年十二月一日

Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures Concerning the Amount of Job Applicant Benefits for the Elderly
第二条（高年齢求職者給付金の額に関する経過措置）
With regard to the amount of the job applicant benefits for the elderly for elderly qualified recipients whose day of separation from service pertaining to the recipient qualification for the elderly is before April 1, 1999, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
Supplementary Provisions, Article 3Transitional Measures Concerning Nursing Care Leave Benefits under the Employment Insurance
第三条（雇用保険の介護休業給付金に関する経過措置）
The nursing care leave benefits prescribed in Article 61-7, paragraph (1) of the Employment Insurance Act as amended by Article 1 (hereinafter referred to as the "new Employment Insurance Act") are paid for payment unit periods for which the day on which the leave prescribed in that paragraph was commenced or the corresponding absence commencement day prescribed in paragraph (3) of that Article is on or after April 1, 1999.
第一条の規定による改正後の雇用保険法（以下「新雇用保険法」という。）第六十一条の七第一項に規定する介護休業給付金は、同項に規定する休業を開始した日又は同条第三項に規定する休業開始応当日が平成十一年四月一日以後である支給単位期間について支給する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 4Transitional Measures Concerning the Burden Borne by the National Treasury for the Employment Insurance
第四条（雇用保険の国庫負担に関する経過措置）
The provisions of Article 66, paragraph (1) and Article 23, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the new Employment Insurance Act apply to the amount to be borne by the national treasury for fiscal year 1998 and subsequent fiscal years.
新雇用保険法第六十六条第一項及び附則第二十三条第一項の規定は、平成十年度以後の年度に係る国庫の負担額について適用する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 9Delegation of Other Transitional Measures to Cabinet Order
第九条（その他の経過措置の政令への委任）
Beyond what is provided for in Article 2 through the preceding Article of the Supplementary Provisions, transitional measures necessary incidental to the enforcement of this Act are specified by Cabinet Order.
附則第二条から前条までに定めるもののほか、この法律の施行に伴い必要な経過措置は、政令で定める。
