Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding one year and six months from the date of promulgation.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して一年六月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures
第二条（経過措置）
With regard to events involving a family register that pertain to requests made before this Act comes into effect pursuant to the provisions of Article 10, paragraph (1), Article 12-2, paragraph (1) or Article 48, paragraph (2) of the Family Register Act prior to the amendment by this Act (referred to as "the former Act" in the following paragraph), and to appeals concerning those events involving a family register, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行前にこの法律による改正前の戸籍法（次項において「旧法」という。）第十条第一項、第十二条の二第一項又は第四十八条第二項の規定によりされた請求に係る戸籍事件及び当該戸籍事件についての不服申立てについては、なお従前の例による。
With regard to events involving a family register that pertain to requests made before this Act comes into effect pursuant to the provisions of Article 48, paragraph (1) of the former Act, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行前に旧法第四十八条第一項の規定によりされた請求に係る戸籍事件については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 3
第三条
With regard to the application of penal provisions to acts committed before this Act comes into effect and to acts committed after this Act comes into effect in the cases where the provisions then in force continue to govern pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (1) of the preceding Article, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行前にした行為及び前条第一項の規定によりなお従前の例によることとされる場合におけるこの法律の施行後にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
