In Article 3, paragraph (1) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 55 of 2004, the permission under Article 36-2, paragraph (1) of this Act as it stood before Act No. 55 of 2004 amended it, held by a person when that Act's amendments to Article 36-2 came into effect; its holder is deemed to have received a new permission (新許可) on that date.
In Article 20 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 85 of 1980, a permission, approval or other disposition (処分), or a contract or other act. That Article treats such an act that a national government body (国の機関) affected by that Act's amendments did, before that Act came into effect, under an Act (法律) or an order made under one as done, as a Cabinet Order (政令) provides, by the corresponding national government body under the Acts and orders as that Act amended them or according to how they divide the bodies' affairs.

In Article 8, paragraph (1) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 106 of 1986, the amount by which an insurer's fiscal 1986 estimated medical expense contribution (概算医療費拠出金) as worked out under Article 4 of those supplementary provisions exceeds the contribution as worked out under Article 55, paragraph (1) of this Act as it stood before Article 1 of that Act amended it (旧老健法); where it is expected to be considerably large, part of it is taken off the contribution of an insurer that meets the conditions a Ministry of Health and Welfare Order (厚生省令) sets.

In paragraph (3) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Cabinet Order No. 38 of 2019, the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan (Act No. 71 of 1991) as amended by Article 13 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of the 2018 Act partially amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Act for Establishment of the Ministry of Justice (Act No. 102 of 2018).
In Article 22 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Ministry of Justice Order No. 43 of 2011, the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act as it stood before Article 2 of the 2009 amending Act (改正法, Act No. 79 of 2009) amended it.
This Act as it stood before Article 2 of Act No. 59 of 1986 amended it.
