第二条（適用区分）
The provisions of Article 9, paragraphs (3) through (5), Article 44, paragraph (3), Article 48-2, paragraph (1), Article 49-2, paragraph (4), and Article 57, paragraph (1) of the Public Offices Election Act as amended by the provisions of Article 1 (hereinafter in this Article referred to as the "new Public Offices Election Act"), and the provisions of Appended Table 2 and Appended Table 4 of the Residential Basic Book Act as amended by the provisions of Article 8 of the Supplementary Provisions, apply to an election or examination for which the date is publicly notified or announced on or after the day on which this Act comes into effect (hereinafter in this Article referred to as the "Effective Date"), and the provisions then in force continue to govern an election or examination for which the date was publicly notified or announced by the day before the Effective Date.
第一条の規定による改正後の公職選挙法（以下この条において「新公職選挙法」という。）第九条第三項から第五項まで、第四十四条第三項、第四十八条の二第一項、第四十九条の二第四項及び第五十七条第一項の規定並びに附則第八条の規定による改正後の住民基本台帳法別表第二及び別表第四の規定は、この法律の施行の日（以下この条において「施行日」という。）以後その期日を公示され又は告示される選挙又は審査について適用し、施行日の前日までにその期日を公示され又は告示された選挙又は審査については、なお従前の例による。
