第三条（基本手当の日額等に関する経過措置）
With regard to the daily amount of the basic allowance, the daily amount of wages and the automatic changing of the daily amount of the basic allowance for a qualified recipient of the basic allowance whose day of separation from service pertaining to the recipient qualification is before the effective date (hereinafter referred to as a "former qualified recipient"), the provisions of Articles 16 through 18 of the Employment Insurance Act prior to its amendment by Article 1 (hereinafter referred to as the "former Employment Insurance Act") govern. In this case, the phrase "the provisions of Article 18, paragraph (1)" in Article 16 of the former Employment Insurance Act is deemed to be replaced with "the provisions of Article 18, paragraph (1) (including the cases where those provisions are to govern pursuant to the provisions of Article 3, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the Employment Insurance Act, etc. (Act No. 54 of 1984))", and the phrase "the provisions of paragraph (1) of the following Article" in Article 17, paragraph (4) of the former Employment Insurance Act is deemed to be replaced with "the provisions of paragraph (1) of the following Article (including the cases where those provisions are to govern pursuant to the provisions of Article 3, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the Employment Insurance Act, etc.)".
その受給資格に係る離職の日が施行日前である基本手当の受給資格者（以下「旧受給資格者」という。）に係る基本手当の日額、賃金日額及び基本手当の日額の自動的変更については、第一条の規定による改正前の雇用保険法（以下「旧雇用保険法」という。）第十六条から第十八条までの規定の例による。この場合において、旧雇用保険法第十六条中「第十八条第一項の規定」とあるのは「第十八条第一項の規定（雇用保険法等の一部を改正する法律（昭和五十九年法律第五十四号）附則第三条第一項の規定によりその例によることとされる場合を含む。）」と、旧雇用保険法第十七条第四項中「次条第一項の規定」とあるのは「次条第一項の規定（雇用保険法等の一部を改正する法律附則第三条第一項の規定によりその例によることとされる場合を含む。）」とする。
The provisions of Article 18, paragraph (1) of the new Employment Insurance Act apply by deeming the table of daily amounts of the basic allowance under the provisions of Article 16 of the new Employment Insurance Act to have been established based on the average regular earnings prescribed in that paragraph for August 1984.
新雇用保険法第十六条の規定による基本手当日額表の制定は、昭和五十九年八月における新雇用保険法第十八条第一項に規定する平均定期給与額を基礎として行われたものとして、同項の規定を適用する。
The provisions of Article 19, paragraph (1) of the new Employment Insurance Act (including as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 37, paragraph (9) of the new Employment Insurance Act) apply to the periods pertaining to the recognition of unemployment carried out on or after the effective date.
