The day specified by Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare under Article 22, paragraph (5) of the Act is the earliest day on which it becomes evident that an amount equivalent to the amount to be borne by the insured person, as confirmed based on the documents specified in the items of the following Article, had been deducted from the wages paid to that person.

Where the earliest day referred to in the preceding paragraph cannot be confirmed based on the documents specified in the items of the following Article, the first day of the earliest month in which it becomes evident that an amount equivalent to the amount to be borne by the insured person, as confirmed based on those documents, had been deducted from the wages paid to that person is deemed to be the earliest day prescribed in the preceding paragraph.

Where, pursuant to the preceding paragraph, the first day of the earliest month has been deemed to be the earliest day under paragraph (1), if that first day precedes the day on which the person most recently ceased to be an insured person, then, notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, that day on which the person most recently ceased to be an insured person is deemed to be the earliest day under paragraph (1).

A person prescribed in Article 22, paragraph (5) of the Act is deemed to have ceased to be an insured person on the day following the most recent day of the period in which it is evident that an amount equivalent to the amount to be borne by the insured person, as confirmed based on the documents specified in the items of the following Article, had been deducted from the wages paid to that person.

Where, in the confirmation based on the documents specified in the items of the following Article, the most recent day referred to in the preceding paragraph cannot be confirmed, the person is deemed to have ceased to be an insured person on the day following the last day of the most recent month of the period in which it is evident that an amount equivalent to the amount to be borne by the insured person, as confirmed based on those documents, had been deducted from the wages paid to that person.

Where, pursuant to the preceding paragraph, the day following the last day of that most recent month has been deemed to be the day on which the person ceased to be an insured person, if there is a day within that most recent month on which the person became an insured person, then, notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the person is deemed to have ceased to be an insured person on that day on which the person became an insured person.

The provisions of paragraphs (4) through (6) do not apply to the period up to two years before the day on which the confirmation of having become an insured person under Article 9, paragraph (1) of the Act was made.
