A person who, without due cause, operates a traffic light, relocates a road sign or road marking that a public safety commission has installed, or damages a traffic light or any road sign or road marking that a public safety commission has installed, and thereby causes a road traffic hazard is subject to imprisonment for not more than five years or a fine of not more than 200,000 yen.
