施行日（しこうび）

The date Act No. 33 of 2022, the amending Act these supplementary provisions (附則) belong to, comes into effect.

指定日（していび）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 109 of 1994, 1 October 1996: under contracts for construction or manufacture concluded from 30 December 1988 to the day before it, taxable transfers made on or after 1 April 1997 stay taxed at the rate of the Consumption Tax Act as it stood before that Act (旧消費税法), except for any increase in price agreed on or after it.

旧協会（きゅうきょうかい）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 73 of 1992, a securities dealers association (証券業協会) registered, when that Act was promulgated, under Article 67, paragraph (1) of this Act as it stood before Article 1 of that Act amended it.

Short name, in Article 2 of the supplementary provisions of Act No. 26 of 2008, for the Act establishing the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (国土交通省設置法, Act No. 100 of 1999) as it stood before Article 1 of Act No. 26 of 2008 amended it.

This Act as amended by Article 1 of Act No. 47 of 2021.

預貯金等（よちょきんとう）

The deposits, jointly managed trusts and securities described in Article 10, paragraph (1) of this Act as it stood before the 1987 amending law (Act No. 96 of 1987), whose interest and distributions of proceeds went on being taxed under the earlier rules for a time.

障害者等（しょうがいしゃとう）

In the 2002 amending law (Act No. 15 of 2002), a person living in Japan who is a person with a disability or other eligible person (障害者等) as defined in Article 9-2, paragraph (1) of the Income Tax Act as that law amended it — the rule exempting such persons' postal savings (郵便貯金) interest, which applies to interest payable from 1 January 2006.

旧沖振法（きゅうおきしんほう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 4 of 2022, the Act on Special Measures for the Promotion and Development of Okinawa as it stood before Article 1 of the Act Partially Amending the Act on Special Measures for the Promotion and Development of Okinawa, etc. (Act No. 7 of 2022) amended it.

Short name, in Article 2 of the supplementary provisions of Act No. 26 of 2008, for the Act establishing the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (国土交通省設置法, Act No. 100 of 1999) as it stood before Article 1 of Act No. 26 of 2008 amended it.

大型免許（おおがためんきょ）

The large motor vehicle license (大型自動車免許) of Article 84, paragraph (3) of the Road Traffic Act as amended by Article 4 of Act No. 90 of 2004, as Article 6, paragraph (1) of that Act's supplementary provisions (附則) names it in saying which license held under the earlier wording is deemed to be which license under the new one; a large motor vehicle license held under the earlier wording is deemed to be this one.

旧法業務（きゅうほうぎょうむ）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 41 of 1987, work corresponding to the work of setting up and running the vocational centers (職業センターの設置運営業務) that the Employment Promotion Corporation (雇用促進事業団) had carried out under Article 19, paragraph (1) of Act No. 116 of 1961 (雇用促進事業団法, the law on the Employment Promotion Corporation), as it stood before Article 21 of those supplementary provisions amended it.

In Article 7 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 77 of 2005, the small-scale facility covered by public aid providing long-term care to the elderly (小規模介護老人福祉施設, one with a capacity of 29 or fewer) in which the insured person now lives.

不整合期間（ふせいごうきかん）

In Articles 9-4-2 and 9-4-6 of the supplementary provisions (附則), time recorded as premium-paid time as a category 3 insured person (第三号被保険者) between April 1986 and the month before the item (ii) provisions of Act No. 63 of 2013 came into effect (other than periods a Cabinet Order (政令) excludes), whose record was later corrected under Article 14 to time as a category 1 insured person (第一号被保険者).

新全国計画（しんぜんこくけいかく）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 31 of 2015, the national plan for the optimization of medical expenses (全国医療費適正化計画) that the State is to draw up promptly on or after 1 April 2016, when the provisions listed in Article 1, item (ii) of those supplementary provisions came into effect, under the Act on Assurance of Medical Care for Elderly People as amended by Article 9 of that Act.

旧景品表示法（きゅうけいひんひょうじほう）

This Act as it stood before Article 12 of Act No. 49 of 2009 amended it.
