二以上の種別の被保険者であつた期間を有する者
A person who has been insured, at different times, in two or more of the four insured categories (被保険者の種別) of employees' pension insurance — who has time in two or more of the category I to category IV EPI insured periods (第一号厚生年金被保険者期間 to 第四号厚生年金被保険者期間).
The body that runs the employees' pension insurance business for each group of insured persons, as Article 2-5, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act assigns it: the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare for category 1 insured persons; National Public Officers Mutual Aid Associations and their Federation for category 2; local public officers' mutual aid associations, the National Federation of Mutual Aid Associations for Municipal Personnel and the Pension Fund Association for Local Government Officials for category 3; and the Promotion and Mutual Aid Corporation for Private Schools of Japan for category 4.

A request, under Article 78-2, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act, by either party to a divorce or similar event (離婚等) to the implementing organization (実施機関) to revise or decide the standardized remuneration (標準報酬) for the insured periods in the subject period (対象期間), splitting it between them by the allocation percentage (按分割合) they have agreed or the family court has set.
交付金
The grant that the government, as the administrator of employees' pension insurance, delivers every fiscal year under Article 84-3 of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act to each implementing organization (実施機関) other than the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, equal under Article 4-2-4 to that organization's costs of insurance benefits under that Act and of equivalent benefits, less the costs that paragraph lists.
拠出金
The contribution that each implementing organization (実施機関) other than the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare pays every fiscal year under Article 84-5, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act, in the amount Article 84-6 of that Act sets.

Short name, in Article 4-2-2, item (vii) and Article 4-2-4, paragraph (1), item (ix), for Act No. 106 of 1985, the 1985 Act partially amending the private school personnel mutual aid association law and other laws (私立学校教職員共済組合法等の一部を改正する法律).
The additional amount of pension that Article 44, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act adds to an employees' old-age pension (老齢厚生年金) for a spouse under 65 or a child within the ages or disability grades that paragraph sets whom the beneficiary supported, here as Article 3-13, paragraph (1) reads that paragraph for a person who has been insured in two or more insured categories.
A public university corporation as Article 68, paragraph (1) of the Local Independent Administrative Agency Act defines it: a general local incorporated administrative agency (一般地方独立行政法人) that sets up and runs a university, or a university and a college of technology, under Article 21, item (ii) of that Act.

The pensions of the former Private School Pension Foundation (旧財団法人私学恩給財団) that the Promotion and Mutual Aid Corporation for Private Schools of Japan (日本私立学校振興・共済事業団) must pay because it took over the Foundation's rights and obligations under paragraph (11) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of the Private School Personnel Mutual Aid Association Act as it stood before Article 4 of Act No. 63 of 2012 amended it and Article 5, paragraph (1) of the supplementary provisions of the Act on the Promotion and Mutual Aid Corporation for Private Schools of Japan, together with the pensions that paragraph (20) of the supplementary provisions of the private school personnel mutual aid association law, before the 1961 Private School Mutual Aid Amendment Act (Act No. 140 of 1961), left to be paid under the Foundation's former rules.

In Article 3 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Cabinet Order No. 303 of 2021, the Order for Enforcement of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act as amended by Article 2 of that Cabinet Order.
The average standardized amount of remuneration for insured persons under Article 43-2, paragraph (1), item (ii), (a) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act: an amount equal to the total standardized remuneration (標準報酬) for each fiscal year divided by the number of insured persons and then by 12, which Article 3-4 works out with regard to changes in the sex and age make-up of insured persons and the spread of standardized remuneration.

対象期間
The period of the marriage, or another period an Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (厚生労働省令) sets, for whose insured months the standardized remuneration (標準報酬) of the two parties (当事者) can be revised or decided after a divorce or similar event, as Article 78-2, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act defines it.

For each of the two parties (当事者) to a divorce or similar event, the total of the standard monthly remuneration (標準報酬月額) — for a month in which Article 26, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act applied, the previous standard monthly remuneration (従前標準報酬月額) — and the standard bonus amounts for each insured month in the subject period (対象期間), each multiplied by the revaluation rate (再評価率) that applies on the last day of the subject period with the party treated as a beneficiary, as Article 78-3, paragraph (1) of that Act defines it.
