第七十八条（連合会の業務の特例）
In addition to the businesses under the provisions of the amended Defined-Benefit Corporate Pension Act, the Association may conduct the following businesses:
連合会は、改正後確定給付企業年金法の規定による業務のほか、次に掲げる業務を行うことができる。
upon being entrusted pursuant to the provisions of Article 70, paragraph (5) of the Supplementary Provisions, to distribute the residual assets prescribed in paragraph (3) of that Article;
to receive delivery of the residual assets prescribed in Article 75, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions, and to pay the benefits in the form of a pension or the benefits in the form of a lump sum pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (2) of that Article to the Fund early leavers, etc. pertaining to those residual assets.
附則第七十五条第一項に規定する残余財産の交付を受け、当該残余財産に係る基金中途脱退者等について同条第二項の規定により年金たる給付又は一時金たる給付の支給を行うこと。
With the approval of the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, the Association may conduct the following projects, using the contributions, etc. of employees' pension Funds as the source of Funds:
a project to add to the amount of the benefits in the form of a pension or the benefits in the form of a lump sum under Article 75, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions that are paid to members of a dissolved Fund, so that a fixed amount is secured for those benefits in the form of a pension or benefits in the form of a lump sum;

The Association may, upon being entrusted pursuant to the provisions of Article 130, paragraph (5) of the pre-amendment Employees' Pension Insurance Act that remains in force pursuant to the provisions of Article 5, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions, conduct part of the business of a surviving employees' pension Fund.
Effect, etc. of the Pre-amendment Employees' Pension Insurance Act, etc. concerning Surviving Employees' Pension Funds
With regard to surviving employees' pension Funds, the following provisions remain in force:
