Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding 3 years from the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect as of the dates specified respectively in those items.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して三年を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。
the provisions of Chapter I, Article 24, Article 65 and Article 66, the following Article, and Articles 5 and 6 of the Supplementary Provisions: the date of promulgation;
the provisions of Article 25, Chapter VI, Section 1, Article 54, Chapter VI, Section 3, Article 69, Article 72 and Article 76 (limited to the parts concerning Article 69 and Article 72), and Article 4 of the Supplementary Provisions: the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding six months from January 1, 2014;

the provisions of Article 26, Article 27, Article 29, paragraph (1) (limited to the part applying the provisions of Article 10, paragraphs (1) and (3) of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information Held by Administrative Organs with the terms replaced), Article 31, Chapter VI, Section 2 (excluding Article 54), Article 73, Article 74 and Article 77 (limited to the parts concerning Article 73 and Article 74): the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding one year and six months from the date of promulgation;
