附 則
Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on April 1, 2022; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect on the dates specified in those items:
この法律は、令和四年四月一日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。

第二条（検討）
The government is to, taking into consideration the status of implementation of measures concerning support for children and child-rearing, etc., and from the viewpoint of contributing to addressing the advance of the declining birthrate, examine how child allowance is to be effectively paid in accordance with the number of children of persons receiving payment of child allowance, etc., and how the funding for it is to be secured, as well as the requirements for payment of child allowance, and take necessary measures based on the results.
政府は、子ども・子育て支援に関する施策の実施状況等を踏まえ、少子化の進展への対処に寄与する観点から、児童手当の支給を受ける者の児童の数等に応じた児童手当の効果的な支給及びその財源の在り方並びに児童手当の支給要件の在り方について検討を加え、その結果に基づき、必要な措置を講ずるものとする。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 3Transitional Measures Accompanying the Partial Amendment of the Child Allowance Act
第三条（児童手当法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
The provisions of Article 2, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Child Allowance Act as amended by the provisions of Article 2 apply to payment of the benefit under that paragraph for months on or after June 2022, and the provisions then in force continue to govern payment of the benefit under Article 2, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Child Allowance Act prior to amendment by the provisions of Article 2 for months on or before May of that year.
第二条の規定による改正後の児童手当法附則第二条第一項の規定は、令和四年六月以後の月分の同項の給付の支給について適用し、同年五月以前の月分の第二条の規定による改正前の児童手当法附則第二条第一項の給付の支給については、なお従前の例による。
