第六章の三 登録情報提供機関
第九十六条の十五（登録）
Registration under Article 22, paragraph (3) (hereinafter referred to simply as "registration" in this Chapter) is to be made upon application by a person who intends to engage in information provision services.
Article 96-16Disqualification Clause
第九十六条の十六（欠格条項）
A person that falls under any of the following items cannot receive registration:
次の各号のいずれかに該当する者は、登録を受けることができない。
a person who has been sentenced to a fine or a heavier punishment for violating this Act or an order under this Act, and for whom two years have not yet passed since the day on which the person finished serving the sentence or ceased to be subject to its enforcement;
この法律又はこの法律に基づく命令に違反し、罰金以上の刑に処せられ、その執行を終わり、又は執行を受けることがなくなつた日から二年を経過しない者
a person whose registration has been revoked under the provisions of Article 96-13 as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 96-19, and for whom two years have not passed since the date of the revocation;
a corporation any of whose officers engaged in its business falls under either of the preceding two items.
法人であつて、その業務を行う役員のうちに前二号のいずれかに該当する者があるもの

第九十六条の十七（登録基準等）
If a person that has applied for registration pursuant to the provisions of Article 96-15 has computers and programs necessary for information provision services, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism must grant that registration. In this case, the procedures necessary for registration are specified by an Order of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
Registration is to be made by entering the following matters in the register of registered information providers:
登録は、登録情報提供機関登録簿に次に掲げる事項を記載してするものとする。
date of registration and registration number;
登録年月日及び登録番号
the name or title and address of the registered information provider and, in the case of a corporation, the name of its representative;
登録情報提供機関の氏名又は名称及び住所並びに法人にあつては、その代表者の氏名
the location of the place of business where the registered information provider conducts information provision services;
characters, numbers, symbols or other codes for identifying the registered information provider that is the source of transmission in an automatic public transmission; and
in addition to what is set forth in the preceding items, other matters specified by Order of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
前各号に掲げるもののほか、国土交通省令で定める事項
The Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism must make the register of registered information providers available for public inspection, as provided by Order of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
国土交通大臣は、国土交通省令で定めるところにより、登録情報提供機関登録簿を公衆の閲覧に供しなければならない。
A registered information provider must make available for public inspection, by means of an automatic public transmission made by connecting to a telecommunications line, its name, the registration number entered in the register of registered information providers, the terms and conditions and charges concerning its information provision services, and other matters specified by Order of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
Article 96-18Renewal of Registration
第九十六条の十八（登録の更新）
A registration loses its effect upon the expiration of the period unless it is renewed for each period specified by Cabinet Order within a range of not less than five years and not more than ten years.
登録は、五年以上十年以内において政令で定める期間ごとにその更新を受けなければ、その期間の経過によつて、その効力を失う。
The provisions of the preceding three Articles apply mutatis mutandis to the renewal of a registration referred to in the preceding paragraph.
Article 96-19Mutatis Mutandis Application
第九十六条の十九（準用）
The provisions of Articles 96-6 through 96-14 apply mutatis mutandis to registered information providers and information provision services. In this case, the phrase "Article 96-4, paragraph (2), items (ii) through (iv) or item (vi)" in Article 96-7 is deemed to be replaced with "Article 96-17, paragraph (2), items (ii) through (v)", the phrase "a person who intends to provide the matters prescribed in Article 33, paragraph (4), Article 75, paragraph (5) or Article 94-5, paragraph (2) (including as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 94-5-2, paragraph (2))" in Article 96-10, paragraph (2) is deemed to be replaced with "a person who intends to be provided with registration information via a telecommunications line", the phrase "Article 96-4, paragraph (1)" in Article 96-11 is deemed to be replaced with "Article 96-17, paragraph (1)", and the phrase "Article 96-3, item (i) or item (iii)" in Article 96-13, item (i) is deemed to be replaced with "Article 96-16, item (i) or item (iii)".
第九十六条の六から第九十六条の十四までの規定は、登録情報提供機関及び情報提供業務について準用する。この場合において、第九十六条の七中「第九十六条の四第二項第二号から第四号まで又は第六号」とあるのは「第九十六条の十七第二項第二号から第五号まで」と、第九十六条の十第二項中「第三十三条第四項、第七十五条第五項又は第九十四条の五第二項（第九十四条の五の二第二項において準用する場合を含む。）に規定する事項を提供しようとする者」とあるのは「登録情報の電気通信回線による提供を受けようとする者」と、第九十六条の十一中「第九十六条の四第一項」とあるのは「第九十六条の十七第一項」と、第九十六条の十三第一号中「第九十六条の三第一号又は第三号」とあるのは「第九十六条の十六第一号又は第三号」と読み替えるものとする。
