Supplementary Provisions, Article 16Preparatory Acts Accompanying Partial Amendment of the Medical Care Act
第十六条（医療法の一部改正に伴う準備行為）
The Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare may conduct, even before the Effective Date, the training prescribed in Article 30-12-2, paragraph (1) of the Medical Care Act after its amendment by the provisions of Article 8 (excluding the amending provisions set forth in Article 1, item (i) of the Supplementary Provisions) (hereinafter referred to as the "New Medical Care Act").
厚生労働大臣は、施行日前においても、第八条の規定（附則第一条第一号に掲げる改正規定を除く。）による改正後の医療法（以下「新医療法」という。）第三十条の十二の二第一項に規定する研修を実施することができる。
A person who intends to receive the registration under Article 30-12-2, paragraph (1) of the New Medical Care Act may file the application therefor even before the Effective Date, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph (2) of that Article.
新医療法第三十条の十二の二第一項の登録を受けようとする者は、施行日前においても、同条第二項の規定の例により、その申請を行うことができる。
