Supplementary Provisions, Article 17
第十七条
The prefectural governor may conclude, even before the Effective Date, an agreement (meaning the agreement prescribed in paragraph (1) of that Article; the same applies in the following paragraph) in accordance with the provisions of Article 30-12-6 of the New Medical Care Act.
都道府県知事は、施行日前においても、新医療法第三十条の十二の六の規定の例により、協定（同条第一項に規定する協定をいう。次項において同じ。）を締結することができる。
An agreement concluded pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph is deemed to have been concluded on the Effective Date pursuant to the provisions of Article 30-12-6, paragraph (1) of the New Medical Care Act.
前項の規定により締結された協定は、施行日において新医療法第三十条の十二の六第一項の規定により締結されたものとみなす。
