保管車両等（ほかんしゃりょうとう）

In Article 4 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 90 of 2004, a vehicle, load or damaged object that the police were holding in storage, when the provisions in Article 1, item (ii) of those provisions came into effect, under Article 51, paragraph (9), Article 51-3, paragraph (1) or the second sentence of Article 72-2, paragraph (2) of the Road Traffic Act as it stood before Article 1 of that Act amended them.

一部施行日（いちぶしこうび）

In Article 2 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 70 of 1994, the day on which the provisions named in the proviso to Article 1 of those supplementary provisions — the amendments to Article 48 and Article 62, paragraph (4) — came into effect, which was the day that Act was promulgated.

旧介護保険法（きゅうかいごほけんほう）

In Article 7 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 52 of 2017, the Long-Term Care Insurance Act (Act No. 123 of 1997) as it stood before Article 1 of that Act, leaving out the amendments listed in Article 1, items (ii) and (iii) of those supplementary provisions, amended it.

届出等の行為（とどけでとうのこうい）

In Article 2 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 26 of 2019, a notification or other act made under the Long-Term Care Insurance Act. Article 2 treats such an act made under that Act as it stood before Article 10 of Act No. 26 of 2019 amended it, and still pending when the provisions listed in Article 1, item (iv) of those supplementary provisions came into effect on 1 April 2021, as made under the corresponding provisions of the Act as amended, where the person who is to handle the administrative work it concerns changes on that day.

Article 14 treats such an act done under the laws as they stood before that Act (or, for a provision Article 1 of its supplementary provisions lists, that provision) came into effect, where the official who is to handle the matter changes on the day it comes into effect, as done under the corresponding provisions of the laws as that Act amended them, except as Articles 2 to 13 of its supplementary provisions or the transitional provisions of the amended laws, including orders made under them, provide otherwise.

旧児童手当法（きゅうじどうてあてほう）

In Article 8-2 of the supplementary provisions (附則), the Child Allowance Act (Act No. 73 of 1971) as it stood before Article 1 of the 2012 Act amending it (Act No. 24 of 2012) amended it, as Article 11 of that Act's supplementary provisions keeps it in force and Article 20, paragraph (1) of the Act on the Payment of Children's Allowance in Fiscal 2010, etc. applies it; its Article 20 contributions are handled as Article 159-2 provides.

新健康保険法（しんけんこうほけんほう）

In Article 11 of the supplementary provisions (附則), the Health Insurance Act (Act No. 70 of 1922) as amended by Article 23 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of the Japan Pension Organization Act (Act No. 109 of 2007).

1 October 2022, the date the provisions listed in Article 1, item (iii) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 66 of 2021 come into effect — among them that Act's amendment of Article 159 of this Act.

In Article 2 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Ministry of Justice Order No. 7 of 2019, an application, request (申出) or other act. That Article treats one made on a form of the Ministerial Orders (省令) as they stood before that Order amended them, and still under way when it came into effect, as made on the corresponding form of the amended Orders.

第一号施行日（だいいちごうしこうび）

The date the provisions listed in Article 1, item (i) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 28 of 2023 came into effect: the day that Act was promulgated (公布), 17 May 2023.
