Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on April 1, 2017; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect on the dates specified respectively in those items:
この法律は、平成二十九年四月一日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。

The provisions of Article 1 (excluding the amending provisions set forth in the preceding item), the provisions of Article 3 (excluding the amending provisions deleting Article 35, paragraph (4) of the Anti-Prostitution Act), and the provisions of Article 6 (excluding the amending provisions set forth in that item), and the provisions of Article 9 of the Supplementary Provisions, the amending provisions of Article 6, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act on Support for Children and Child-rearing (Act No. 65 of 2012) in Article 18 of the Supplementary Provisions, and the provisions of Article 21 of the Supplementary Provisions (excluding the amending provisions set forth in the preceding item): October 1, 2016.
