Section 21 Adjudication Cases Prescribed in the Act on Special Cases in Handling Gender Status for Persons with Gender Identity Disorder
第二十一節 性同一性障害者の性別の取扱いの特例に関する法律に規定する審判事件

An adjudication case for a change in the handling of gender (meaning an adjudication case regarding the matters set forth in Appended Table 1, row (126); the same applies in the following paragraph) is subject to the jurisdiction of the family court which has jurisdiction over the place of domicile of the petitioner.
The provisions of Article 118 apply mutatis mutandis to a petitioner in an adjudication case for the change in handling of gender.
第百十八条の規定は、性別の取扱いの変更の審判事件における申立人について準用する。
A person who has filed a petition for a change in the handling of gender may file an immediate appeal against a ruling to dismiss the petition.
性別の取扱いの変更の申立てをした者は、その申立てを却下する審判に対し、即時抗告をすることができる。
