A family court mediates a case through a mediation committee; provided, however, that when a family court finds it to be appropriate, mediation may be conducted by a judge alone.
家庭裁判所は、調停委員会で調停を行う。ただし、家庭裁判所が相当と認めるときは、裁判官のみで行うことができる。
Upon the petition of a party, the family court must mediate a case through a mediation committee, notwithstanding the provisions of proviso to the preceding paragraph.
家庭裁判所は、当事者の申立てがあるときは、前項ただし書の規定にかかわらず、調停委員会で調停を行わなければならない。
