Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on April 1, 2004.
この法律は、平成十六年四月一日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures
第二条（経過措置）
The provisions after amendment by this Act apply to the burden borne by the State or prefectures pertaining to the budget of fiscal year 2004 and thereafter (excluding the burden borne by the State or prefectures expended in fiscal year 2004 or thereafter by reason of the performance of affairs or business in fiscal year 2003 or earlier), and the provisions then in force continue to govern the burden borne by the State or prefectures expended in fiscal year 2004 or thereafter by reason of the performance of affairs or business in fiscal year 2003 or earlier and the provision of grants made in fiscal year 2004 or thereafter under Article 21-2 of the Child Rearing Allowance Act prior to its amendment by the provisions of Article 3.
この法律による改正後の規定は、平成十六年度以降の年度の予算に係る国又は都道府県の負担（平成十五年度以前の年度における事務又は事業の実施により平成十六年度以降の年度に支出される国又は都道府県の負担を除く。）について適用し、平成十五年度以前の年度における事務又は事業の実施により平成十六年度以降の年度に支出される国又は都道府県の負担及び平成十六年度以降の年度に行われる第三条の規定による改正前の児童扶養手当法第二十一条の二の規定に基づく交付金の交付については、なお従前の例による。
