Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on April 1, 2018; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect on the dates specified respectively in those items:
この法律は、平成三十年四月一日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。

The amending provision to the table of contents (excluding the part replacing "persons with physical disabilities or persons with intellectual disabilities" with "covered persons with disabilities" and "Article 68" with "Article 72", deleting "Section 3 Special Provisions Concerning Persons with Mental Disabilities (Article 69 to Article 73)", and replacing "Section 4 Persons with Physical Disabilities, Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, and Persons with Mental Disabilities" with "Section 3 Covered Persons with Disabilities", "(Article 74)" with "(Article 73 and Article 74)", and "Section 5" with "Section 4"); the amending provision to Article 1 (excluding the part replacing "persons with physical disabilities or persons with intellectual disabilities" with "persons with disabilities"); the amending provisions to Article 7 and Article 10; the amending provision adding a chapter title after Article 33; the amending provisions to Article 34 through Article 36; the amending provision adding a heading and five Articles before Chapter III; the amending provision adding "except for the following Chapter," after "excluding" in Article 43, paragraph (1); the amending provision replacing "the following Chapter" with "Chapter IV" in Article 74-2, paragraph (3); the amending provision adding one Chapter after Chapter III; the amending provision changing Article 85-2 to Article 85-4 and adding two Articles after Article 85 in Chapter IV; and the amending provision to Article 87, paragraph (1), as well as the provisions of Article 3, Article 6 and Article 8 of the Supplementary Provisions: April 1, 2016.
