Article 10Entry in the Certificate of Residence and Deletion of a Certificate of Residence upon a Move within a Municipality or a Change of Household
第十条（転居又は世帯変更による住民票の記載及び消除）
When there is a person who has moved within a municipality or who has changed the household to which the person belongs within the area of the municipality, and it is necessary in addition to what is provided for in the preceding Article, the mayor of the municipality must prepare a certificate of residence for that person, or make an entry concerning that person in the certificate of residence of the household to which the person has come to belong, and at the same time delete the certificate of residence of that person (or, where a certificate of residence by household unit had been prepared for the household to which the person belonged, all or part of that certificate of residence).
市町村長は、転居をし、又はその市町村の区域内においてその属する世帯を変更した者がある場合において、前条の規定によるほか必要があるときは、その者の住民票を作成し、又はその属することとなつた世帯の住民票にその者に関する記載をするとともに、その者の住民票（その者が属していた世帯について世帯を単位とする住民票が作成されていた場合にあつては、その住民票の全部又は一部）の消除をしなければならない。
