Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding 2 years from the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect as of the dates specified respectively in those items.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して二年を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。
The provision amending the table of contents (excluding the part set forth in the following item), the provisions amending Article 251 and the title of Part II, Chapter XI, Section 2, Subsection 4, the provision adding one article after Article 251-3, the provision amending Article 251-4, the provision making Part II, Chapter XI, Section 3, Subsection 4 into Subsection 6 of that Section, the provisions amending Articles 252-14 and 252-16, the provision making Part II, Chapter XI, Section 3, Subsection 3 into Subsection 4 of that Section and adding one subsection after that Subsection, the provisions amending Article 252-7, paragraph (3) and Article 252-7-2, the provision making Part II, Chapter XI, Section 3, Subsection 2 into Subsection 3 of that Section, the provision making Article 252-2 into Article 252-2-2, the provisions amending Articles 252-6 and 252-6-2, and the provision making Part II, Chapter XI, Section 3, Subsection 1 into Subsection 2 of that Section and adding one subsection before that Subsection, and the provisions of Articles 4, 9, 14, 22, 56 and 70 of the Supplementary Provisions (limited, for Article 70, to the provisions amending Article 3, paragraph (1), Article 4, paragraph (2) and Article 5, paragraph (6) of the Act on Special Provisions for the Merger of Municipalities (Act No. 59 of 2004)): the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding six months from the date of promulgation.
目次の改正規定（次号に掲げる部分を除く。）、第二百五十一条及び第二編第十一章第二節第四款の款名の改正規定、第二百五十一条の三の次に一条を加える改正規定、第二百五十一条の四の改正規定、第二編第十一章第三節第四款を同節第六款とする改正規定、第二百五十二条の十四及び第二百五十二条の十六の改正規定、第二編第十一章第三節第三款を同節第四款とし、同款の次に一款を加える改正規定、第二百五十二条の七第三項及び第二百五十二条の七の二の改正規定、第二編第十一章第三節第二款を同節第三款とする改正規定、第二百五十二条の二を第二百五十二条の二の二とする改正規定、第二百五十二条の六及び第二百五十二条の六の二の改正規定並びに第二編第十一章第三節第一款を同節第二款とし、同款の前に一款を加える改正規定並びに附則第四条、第九条、第十四条、第二十二条、第五十六条及び第七十条（市町村の合併の特例に関する法律（平成十六年法律第五十九号）第三条第一項、第四条第二項及び第五条第六項の改正規定に限る。）の規定 公布の日から起算して六月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日
