In Article 2 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 31 of 2011, a transaction of a kind a Cabinet Order (政令) specifies (including one it treats as equivalent) that a specified business operator (特定事業者) carries out on or after the day that Act came into effect with a customer, etc. (顧客等) as defined in Article 2, paragraph (3) of the Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds as amended by that Act that is an association or foundation without legal personality (人格のない社団又は財団), whose identity it had verified (本人確認) at an earlier transaction under Article 4, paragraph (1) of that Act as it stood before the amendment, keeping the record of it under Article 6 as it then stood.
In Article 13 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 47 of 2024, Article 7(1) of the Child Allowance Act as applied under Article 2(4) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of the Child Allowance Act as it stood before Article 12 of that Act amended it, including as read under Article 17(1).

In Article 53, paragraph (8) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 63 of 2013, short for Article 160-2, paragraph (3) and Article 161, paragraph (5) of this Act as they stood before that Act amended them, which Article 61, paragraphs (2) and (3) of those supplementary provisions keep in force, and under which the surviving Pension Fund Association (存続連合会) owed the added amounts of old-age pension benefits and the death lump-sum and other lump-sum benefits that paragraph refers to.

In Article 13, paragraph (2) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 45 of 2013, the cases where a provision of this Act as amended by that Act applies with the necessary changes (準用) through Article 6, paragraph (1) of the Act on Financial Businesses by Cooperative, Article 89, paragraph (1) of the Shinkin Bank Act, Article 17 of the Long Term Credit Bank Act and Article 94, paragraph (1) of the Labor Bank Act, each as amended by that Act, as paragraph (1) of that Article first lists them for Article 13, paragraph (1) of this Act.

In Article 702, paragraph 1, on the tax base of city planning tax (都市計画税), the price of the land or building (家屋) that would be the tax base of its fixed assets tax (固定資産税), multiplied by the rate of whichever paragraph of Article 349-3 listed in Article 702, paragraph 2 applies to it.

銀行
A person that carries on banking (銀行業) under a licence from the Prime Minister (内閣総理大臣) under Article 4, paragraph (1).

被保険者
A person employed at an applicable place of business (適用事業所), or an insured person with optional and continued coverage (任意継続被保険者); the persons listed in the items of Article 3, paragraph (1) — among them some temporary, seasonal and short-time workers and persons insured under late-stage elderly medical care (後期高齢者医療) — cannot be insured persons, except as specially-insured day laborers (日雇特例被保険者).
