In Articles 2 to 4 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 79 of 2023, the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act (Act No. 25 of 1948) as it stood before Article 1 of that Act amended it, counting only the amendments listed in Article 1, item (iii) of those supplementary provisions, which come into effect on 1 April 2024.

The mid-sized motor vehicle license (中型自動車免許) of Article 84, paragraph (3) of the Road Traffic Act as amended by Article 4 of Act No. 90 of 2004, as Article 6, paragraph (1) of that Act's supplementary provisions (附則) names it in saying which license held under the earlier wording is deemed to be which license under the new one; a standard motor vehicle license (普通自動車免許) held under the earlier wording is in most cases deemed to be a mid-sized motor vehicle license limited to vehicles corresponding to the earlier standard motor vehicle.
