整備法（せいびほう）

Short name, in Article 2 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 36 of 2009, for the Act that arranged related laws when the Act amending the unemployment insurance and industrial accident compensation insurance laws, and the Act on the Collection, etc. of Insurance Premiums of Labor Insurance, came into effect.

本部令（ほんぶれい）

An order issued by the Headquarters for the Promotion of Central Government Reform, which prepared the 2001 reorganisation of ministries.

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 131 of 1957, the date set by Cabinet Order (政令), no later than two years after that Act came into effect, by which a person had to meet the conditions there to be treated as a real estate transaction officer (宅地建物取引員).

新書式（しんしょしき）

In Article 3, paragraph (2) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Ministry of Finance Order No. 30 of 1985, the forms set out in Appended Tables 1(1) to 1(6) of the Regulation for Enforcement of the Income Tax Act as amended by that Order.

旧信託（きゅうしんたく）

In Article 34, paragraph (2) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of the Act Partially Amending the Income Tax Act, etc. (Act No. 6 of 2007), a trust that took effect before the day the Trust Act (Act No. 108 of 2006) came into effect (信託法施行日) — for a trust by will, one whose will was made before then — other than a trust described in the proviso to Article 12, paragraph (1) of the Corporation Tax Act as it stood before the 2007 Act.

公示日（こうじび）

In Article 2 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 10 of 2013, which amended the Public Offices Election Act, the earlier of two days: the day public notice is given of the date of the first general election of members of the House of Representatives announced on or after the day that Act comes into effect, and the day public notice is given of the date of the first ordinary election of members of the House of Councillors so announced.

土地等（とちとう）

The land, etc. referred to in Article 31-2, paragraph (2), item (ii)-2 of this Act as amended by Act No. 4 of 2017, here that within a disaster-stricken urban area reconstruction promotion area (被災市街地復興推進地域).

処分等（しょぶんとう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 54 of 2002, a permission, approval or other disposition (処分), or a contract or other act. Article 28 treats such an act that the Director of the Maritime Supervision Department (海運監理部長) or one of the other officials it names (海運監理部長等) did under the laws as they stood before that Act came into effect as done, as an Order of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (国土交通省令) provides, by the corresponding transport official (運輸監理部長等) under the laws as that Act amended them.

申請等（しんせいとう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 54 of 2002, an application, notification or other act. Article 29 treats such an act made, before that Act came into effect, under the former wording of the Acts and orders (旧法令) to the Director of the Maritime Supervision Department (海運監理部長) or one of the other officials Article 28 of those supplementary provisions names (海運監理部長等), as an Order of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (国土交通省令) provides, as made to the corresponding transport official (運輸監理部長等) under the Acts and orders as that Act amended them (新法令).

届出等（とどけでとう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) enacted with this Act, a notification (届出) or any other act a Cabinet Order (政令) specifies.

免許証（めんきょしょう）

A driver's license (運転免許証), the card issued to a person granted a driving license (運転免許).

旧許可（きゅうきょか）

In Article 3, paragraph (1) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 55 of 2004, the permission under Article 36-2, paragraph (1) of this Act as it stood before Act No. 55 of 2004 amended it, held by a person when that Act's amendments to Article 36-2 came into effect; its holder is deemed to have received a new permission (新許可) on that date.

処分等（しょぶんとう）

In Article 20 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 85 of 1980, a permission, approval or other disposition (処分), or a contract or other act. That Article treats such an act that a national government body (国の機関) affected by that Act's amendments did, before that Act came into effect, under an Act (法律) or an order made under one as done, as a Cabinet Order (政令) provides, by the corresponding national government body under the Acts and orders as that Act amended them or according to how they divide the bodies' affairs.

申請等（しんせいとう）

In Article 21 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 85 of 1980, an application, notification or other act. That Article treats such an act made, before that Act came into effect, to a national government body (国の機関) that its amendments concern as made, as a Cabinet Order (政令) provides, to the corresponding national government body under the Acts and orders as that Act amended them or according to how they divide the bodies' affairs.

銀行等（ぎんこうとう）

In Article 26 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 87 of 1992, a bank, a trust company or another financial institution specified by Cabinet Order (政令) under Article 65-2, paragraph (1) of this Act under its former title (証券取引法), as it stood before that Act amended it.

国債等（こくさいとう）

In Article 47, paragraph (2) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 107 of 1998, the national government bond certificates, local government bond certificates, foreign government bond certificates or securities a Cabinet Order (政令) specified, as referred to in the main clause of Article 120 of this Act as it stood before that Act amended it, other than the standardized instruments its proviso referred to, that a securities exchange had listed when that Act came into effect.

旧届出（きゅうとどけで）

In Article 3, paragraph (1) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 65 of 2008, a notification under Article 28, paragraph (1) of the supplementary provisions of Act No. 65 of 2006, by which a director, accounting advisor, company auditor or executive officer of a financial instruments business operator (金融商品取引業者) engaged in securities-related business could keep a concurrent post as officer or employee of its parent bank, etc. (親銀行等) for one year from the date the 2006 Act came into effect.
