The affairs that municipalities (including special wards) are to handle under the provisions of Article 11, paragraphs (1), (2), (4) and (6), Article 34, paragraph (2) and Article 35, paragraph (4) (including cases where these provisions are applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 73, paragraph (2)) are Type I statutory entrusted affairs prescribed in Article 2, paragraph (9), item (i) of the Local Autonomy Act (Act No. 67 of 1947).
