Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding 1 year from the date of promulgation.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して一年を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures
第二条（経過措置）
With regard to an application concerning a passport that was made before the effective date of this Act, or a disposition concerning that application, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行の日前にされた旅券に関する申請又は当該申請に係る処分については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 3
第三条
The provisions of Article 20 of the Passport Act as amended apply to fees for applications concerning passports that are made on or after the effective date of this Act, and with regard to fees for applications concerning passports that were made before that date, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
改正後の旅券法第二十条の規定は、この法律の施行の日以後にされる旅券に関する申請に係る手数料について適用し、同日前にされた旅券に関する申請に係る手数料については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 4Transitional Measures Concerning the Application of Penal Provisions
第四条（罰則の適用に関する経過措置）
With regard to the application of penal provisions to acts committed before this Act comes into effect and to acts committed after this Act comes into effect in the cases where the provisions then in force continue to govern pursuant to the Supplementary Provisions of this Act, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行前にした行為及びこの法律の附則においてなお従前の例によることとされる場合におけるこの法律の施行後にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
