Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the date on which the Act Partially Amending the Cabinet Act (Act No. 88 of 1999) comes into effect; provided, however, that the provisions listed in the following items come into effect as of the dates specified respectively in those items:
この法律は、内閣法の一部を改正する法律（平成十一年法律第八十八号）の施行の日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。

第二十八条（委員等の任期に関する経過措置）
The terms of office of persons who, as of the day before the date on which this Act comes into effect, are chairpersons, members, or other personnel of the former councils or other organs listed below (excluding persons whose terms of office are not fixed) expire on that day, notwithstanding the provisions of the respective Acts that set the terms of office of those chairpersons, members, or other personnel:
この法律の施行の日の前日において次に掲げる従前の審議会その他の機関の会長、委員その他の職員である者（任期の定めのない者を除く。）の任期は、当該会長、委員その他の職員の任期を定めたそれぞれの法律の規定にかかわらず、その日に満了する。

Supplementary Provisions, Article 30Transitional Measures Prescribed Separately
第三十条（別に定める経過措置）
In addition to what is provided for in Article 2 through the preceding Article, transitional measures that become necessary upon the enforcement of this Act are specified separately by an Act.
第二条から前条までに規定するもののほか、この法律の施行に伴い必要となる経過措置は、別に法律で定める。
