Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on April 1, 2000.
この法律は、平成十二年四月一日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 3Transitional Measures
第三条（経過措置）
With regard to the application of the amending provisions of this Act concerning a quasi-incompetent person and that person's curator for whom the provisions then in force are to remain applicable pursuant to the provisions of Article 3, paragraph (3) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the Civil Code (Act No. 149 of 1999), the provisions then in force continue to govern, excluding the amending provisions set forth below.
民法の一部を改正する法律（平成十一年法律第百四十九号）附則第三条第三項の規定により従前の例によることとされる準禁治産者及びその保佐人に関するこの法律による改正規定の適用については、次に掲げる改正規定を除き、なお従前の例による。

第四条
With regard to the application of penal provisions to conduct engaged in before this Act comes into effect, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行前にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
