Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding 2 years from the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect as of the dates specified respectively in those items.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して二年を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。

附則第十一条の規定 公布の日
the provisions of Article 10 of the Supplementary Provisions: the date of promulgation of this Act or the date of promulgation of the Act Partially Amending the Basic Act on the Formation of a Digital Society, etc. to Improve Convenience for Persons Concerned in Administrative Procedures, etc. and to Simplify and Streamline Administrative Operations through the Use of Information and Communications Technology (Act No. 46 of 2024), whichever is later.
附則第十条の規定 この法律の公布の日又は情報通信技術の活用による行政手続等に係る関係者の利便性の向上並びに行政運営の簡素化及び効率化を図るためのデジタル社会形成基本法等の一部を改正する法律（令和六年法律第四十六号）の公布の日のいずれか遅い日
Supplementary Provisions, Article 5Transitional Measures Concerning Penal Provisions
第五条（罰則に関する経過措置）
The provisions then in force continue to govern the application of penal provisions to acts committed before the Effective Date.
施行日前にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 11Delegation to Cabinet Order
第十一条（政令への委任）
Beyond what is provided for in these Supplementary Provisions, the transitional measures necessary in connection with the enforcement of this Act are specified by Cabinet Order.
この附則に定めるもののほか、この法律の施行に伴い必要な経過措置は、政令で定める。
