Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on April 1, 1965; provided, however, that the provisions of Articles 59, 62 and 66 come into effect on January 1, 1966.
この法律は、昭和四十年四月一日から施行する。ただし、第五十九条、第六十二条及び第六十六条の規定は、昭和四十一年一月一日から施行する。

第五条（その他の法令の一部改正に伴う経過規定の原則）
Unless otherwise provided, the provisions of the laws and regulations as amended by the provisions of Chapter II apply to income tax for 1965 or any later year and to corporation tax for business years, ending on or after the Effective Date, of the corporations prescribed in the provisions of those laws and regulations, and the provisions then in force continue to govern income tax for 1964 or any earlier year and corporation tax for business years of those corporations that ended before that date.
第二章の規定による改正後の法令の規定は、別段の定めがあるものを除き、昭和四十年分以後の所得税又はこれらの法令の規定に規定する法人の施行日以後に終了する事業年度分の法人税について適用し、昭和三十九年分以前の所得税又は当該法人の同日前に終了した事業年度分の法人税については、なお従前の例による。
