Supplementary Provisions, Article 29

第二十九条

An application, notification or other act (hereinafter referred to as "application, etc.") made before this Act comes into effect to the Director of the Maritime Supervision Department, etc. pursuant to the provisions of the former laws and regulations is deemed, as specified by Order of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, to be an application, etc. made to the corresponding Director of the Transport Supervision Department, etc. pursuant to the provisions of the new laws and regulations.

この法律の施行前に旧法令の規定により海運監理部長等に対してした申請、届出その他の行為（以下「申請等」という。）は、国土交通省令で定めるところにより、新法令の規定により相当の運輸監理部長等に対してした申請等とみなす。

申請等（しんせいとう）
In the supplementary provisions of Act No. 54 of 2002, an application, notification or other step made, before that Act comes into effect and under the Acts and orders as they stood before it, to the Director of the Maritime Supervision Department, a Director of a Land Transport Branch Office or of a Maritime Branch Office, or the head of an office of a Land Transport Branch Office (海運監理部長等).

運輸監理部長等（うんゆかんりぶちょうとう）
In the supplementary provisions of Act No. 54 of 2002, the Director of the Transport Supervision Department (運輸監理部長), the Directors of Transport Branch Offices (運輸支局長), and the heads of the offices of District Transport Bureaus (地方運輸局), the Transport Supervision Department and Transport Branch Offices, who take over from the officials that Act replaces (海運監理部長等).
