Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on July 1, 2002.
この法律は、平成十四年七月一日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 28Transitional Measures
第二十八条（経過措置）
A permission, approval or other disposition, or a contract or other act (hereinafter referred to as "disposition, etc.") made before this Act comes into effect by the Director of the Maritime Supervision Department, the Director of a District Land Transport Office, the Director of a District Marine Transport Office, or the director of an office of a District Land Transport Office (hereinafter referred to as "Director of the Maritime Supervision Department, etc.") pursuant to the provisions of the respective Acts prior to the amendment by this Act, or an order based on them (hereinafter referred to as "former laws and regulations"), is deemed, as specified by Order of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, to be a disposition, etc. made by the corresponding Director of the Transport Supervision Department, Director of a District Transport Office, or the director of an office of a District Transport Bureau, Transport Supervision Department, or District Transport Office (hereinafter referred to as "Director of the Transport Supervision Department, etc.") pursuant to the provisions of the respective Acts as amended by this Act, or an order based on them (hereinafter referred to as "new laws and regulations").
この法律の施行前にこの法律による改正前のそれぞれの法律若しくはこれに基づく命令（以下「旧法令」という。）の規定により海運監理部長、陸運支局長、海運支局長又は陸運支局の事務所の長（以下「海運監理部長等」という。）がした許可、認可その他の処分又は契約その他の行為（以下「処分等」という。）は、国土交通省令で定めるところにより、この法律による改正後のそれぞれの法律若しくはこれに基づく命令（以下「新法令」という。）の規定により相当の運輸監理部長、運輸支局長又は地方運輸局、運輸監理部若しくは運輸支局の事務所の長（以下「運輸監理部長等」という。）がした処分等とみなす。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 29
第二十九条
An application, notification or other act (hereinafter referred to as "application, etc.") made before this Act comes into effect to the Director of the Maritime Supervision Department, etc. pursuant to the provisions of the former laws and regulations is deemed, as specified by Order of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, to be an application, etc. made to the corresponding Director of the Transport Supervision Department, etc. pursuant to the provisions of the new laws and regulations.
Supplementary Provisions, Article 30
第三十条
With regard to the application of penal provisions to acts committed before this Act comes into effect, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行前にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
