When a designated motor vehicle maintenance business operator has performed maintenance on a part of a motor vehicle for which a valid limited motor vehicle inspection certificate has been issued, being a part stated in that limited motor vehicle inspection certificate as not conforming to the safety standards, and a motor vehicle inspector has certified that the part relating to that maintenance conforms to the safety standards, the operator must, upon request, issue a limited safety standards conformity certificate to the client.
指定自動車整備事業者は、有効な限定自動車検査証の交付を受けている自動車の当該限定自動車検査証に記載された保安基準に適合しない部分を整備した場合において、当該整備に係る部分が保安基準に適合する旨を自動車検査員が証明したときは、請求により、限定保安基準適合証を依頼者に交付しなければならない。
Paragraphs (2) and (3) of the preceding Article apply mutatis mutandis to the issuance of a limited safety standards conformity certificate under the preceding paragraph with respect to a motor vehicle for which a valid limited motor vehicle inspection certificate has been issued (excluding those prescribed by Order of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism).
The proviso to paragraph (1) of the preceding Article and the first sentence of paragraph (4) of that Article apply mutatis mutandis to the case referred to in paragraph (1). In this case, the phrase "that motor vehicle" in the first sentence of paragraph (4) of that Article is deemed to be replaced with "the part relating to that maintenance".
When a valid limited motor vehicle inspection certificate and limited safety standards conformity certificate are submitted, then, for the purposes of the application of Articles 59 and 60, Article 62 and Article 71, that motor vehicle is deemed to have been presented to the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and to conform to the safety standards.
Paragraphs (9) and (10) of the preceding Article apply mutatis mutandis to the submission of a limited safety standards conformity certificate.
