The provisions of the preceding Chapter apply mutatis mutandis to expert examination, except for the provisions on subpoena. In this case, the phrase "when a court finds it appropriate in the following cases," in Article 157-6, paragraph (2) is deemed to be replaced with "when a court finds it appropriate in the following cases, or when examining an expert witness (excluding examination concerning the process and conclusion of the expert examination) and the court finds it appropriate,".
前章の規定は、勾引に関する規定を除き、鑑定について準用する。この場合において、第百五十七条の六第二項中「ときは、」とあるのは、「とき、又は鑑定人を尋問する場合（鑑定の経過及び結果に関する尋問をする場合を除く。）において、相当と認めるときは、」と読み替えるものとする。
